Hotel Sparerhof

The location is just right for visiting both Merano and Bolzano, since it's between them. The staff were kind and gentle, and the service came with exceptional courtesy. Our room was clean and spacious. We'd come back.

There's a nice bar attached, and the staff are lovely. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The town is far from pretty much everywhere, especially if you're into winter sports, but it's a nice place to stay and easy to reach from the highway.

We were just expecting somewhere to sleep on the way home, so the homemade breakfast and good coffee were already a lovely surprise. The family run hotel has an interior shaped by generations of fine tuning, with lots of neat details. Andreas speaks many languages, and the cheerful place seems to draw locals as well as travelers. We also had a delicious restaurant meal, a cozy evening at the bar full of laughter and conversation with the host and hostess, and a refreshing swim with the mountains behind the pool. Such a charming, personal stay. We look forward to visiting again. Danke Don Papa ;-)

A clean, nice three-star hotel in Vilpiano, with friendly staff and great service. Breakfast and dinner were very good quality, though there wasn't an international breakfast or a special menu. They support local products. I'd definitely recommend it.
