It’s fine for a night or two, and I highly recommend it. The building feels dated, and it may have deserved a three-star rating some time ago, but it’s very convenient if you’re driving, since it’s close to Bolzano and parking is free. The elderly owner is friendly. Breakfast is simple, with a good cappuccino. The modest room has what you need, including an LCD TV, private bathroom, and shower, but there’s no refrigerator. There’s no air conditioning either, though at this time of year the temperature falls to around 13°C at night, so I didn’t feel I needed it.

For the reasonable price in this area, it’s worth it, and the owner is friendly. Bolzano is only a five-minute drive away. The building is older, but I had the top attic room, which was lovely, with all its windows looking over the valley. The bathroom was nicely updated, while the wooden furniture felt a little dated. Breakfast was cake and bread with butter and jam, no pastries. Ham and eggs are available if you ask.
