Überbacherhof

It was our second visit, and everything was fantastic again. The modern apartment had lots of room, with a large eat-in kitchen and two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We loved the view from the big balcony, and the pool was a highlight. The staff were attentive and very courteous. It’s a great place for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Thanks to the owner, Jan. We’d love to return! :-)

The apartments were clean and pleasant, with everything we needed. We had an excellent breakfast at the adjacent Villa Naj, and both the staff and owner Jan were great. Jan was available whenever we needed him, 24/7. We’d be happy to come back.

We stayed at the end of July 2025 with our older children and teenagers, and felt very comfortable. The apartments are well furnished, the bathrooms are new, and everything was clean and well looked after. The kitchen supplies could use a few additions, such as a salad bowl, fruit bowl, and more glasses, though anything missing was available on request. From the balcony, the view is unique. We loved being able to have breakfast in the neighboring house and dinner at the adjoining hotel. Reception and checkout were pleasant and friendly, and they even fulfilled our special laundry request. Both Überbacher Hof and Villa Naj sit quietly among beautiful vineyards. The Gothic church tower adds to the magnificent wide view of the surrounding mountains, yet the church square and center of Tramin are just a three-minute walk away. From Tramin, it’s easy to reach the Wine Route surroundings by car or bus. The 22-metre pool is a dream, with room for everyone, plenty of loungers, and umbrellas for shade. There’s also a jetty and lawn at Lake Kaltern, a lovely extra for swimmers and water sports fans. We highly recommend the accommodation and will definitely return.

Jan and his team were courteous, friendly, and helpful throughout our six-day stay. Booking was straightforward, and having e-bikes provided added to the good experience. We were happy with the apartment again, just as in previous years. The new pool is a great addition, although the water was still quite chilly at that time of year. We did manage to swim a few laps on two days. Thanks, and see you again soon in Tramin.
