It’s still a beautiful building, but it’s been closed for “renovations” since 2017. I doubt it’ll reopen anytime soon. I’ve been told it’s closed because of “politics,” but who really knows!

A pretty building in a good spot in the city center, with a small park. It was closed for renovations until December 2017. A nice woman gave us two bottles of tomato sauce to make up for the hotel being closed.

The Grande Hotel delle Terme is an important landmark in Termini Imerese. Built in the 20th century, it has a harmonious neoclassical design, and its thermal baths were known for their therapeutic properties even to the Phoenicians. The elegant spaces have every comfort, and the cuisine is excellent, with international menus. I recommend it for a medium to long stay.

The building has some charm for anyone who likes Art Nouveau, but it’s deteriorating. It’s hard to reach by car, there are no signs, parking is a problem, and there’s no internet in the room. For someone visiting as a technician, it’s absolutely unsuitable.
