Grand Hotel Palace

The spectacular balcony view and a great espresso from mama Federica are what I'll remember most. She'd be at the front desk each morning with a warm smile, offering one, and it was the best espresso I'd had until the next one she made. Federica and her mother made us feel like family from the moment we arrived at the Grand hotel palace. They helped with anything we needed, and Federica shared lots of local knowledge, including tips on places to eat and things to see. We flew into Rome on a last minute decision, rented a vehicle to keep costs low, and drove out of Rome. Terracina seemed like a perfect place to stay for a couple of days, and we found this gem. Thank you for making my visit so memorable. When I land in the motherland, I'll definitely travel to Terracina again for those warm smiles and delicious espresso. Highly recommend this place.

The location's great, right across from the beach, and the rooms are clean and large, most with small balconies. English is OK. The showers are cramped, even though there was room for a standard US-sized one. Still, there's always a bidet. Breakfast is served in the morning, and it's probably quite nice in summer.

I want to thank Franco for his great attitude, though one employee really brought down my impression of the hotel. Overall, the place isn't bad, but an incident earned it one star from me. I've traveled for years and have never been told not to put food in the refrigerator. On our last day, we needed breakfast 30 minutes early because of an earlier flight. We asked the day before and were told it wouldn't be a problem. But when we went to the kitchen that morning, they refused to serve us, and did so very rudely. We left offended and hungry.

The sea view and fruit plate are the best. The staff are ultra friendly and always manage to find solutions for guests' needs, even the difficult ones. It's a nice, clean, very well managed hotel, the best in Terracina. I'm very happy to be lucky enough to stay here often.
