Hotel Poseidon

The pool is amazing, and we could relax and have fun there with our two kids. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the bar staying open in the evening was ideal. Paid parking was available behind and beside the hotel. We spent five nights here and it was perfect. The staff were always kind, friendly, and helpful, and our room was sparkling clean and tidy every day. We’d definitely return. I highly recommend this place!

We were very happy with the hotel during our week-long family holiday, and thought it was good value for money. I’d recommend it to other travellers. The reception staff were very helpful with ideas for things to see and do, and restaurants to try. The hotel is about 50 meters from the beach. A Conad supermarket is a 5-10 minute walk away. It’s about a 40-minute walk to the city center for more shops and restaurants, though there’s a bus and the hotel also offers bikes. We arrived by train from Rome, and the hotel arranged a taxi from Monte San Biagio station, around a 20-minute drive away. The fare was about 30 EUR. Our room was as expected for a 3-star hotel in Italy: plain, with somewhat old furnishings, but it always felt clean and fresh. It had a double bed, small desk, wardrobe, kitchenette with basic equipment for simple meals, fridge, bathroom with shower and dryer, and daily cleaning. Breakfast was a buffet of yoghurt, bread, butter, marmalades, cheese, ham, eggs, traditional Italian pastries, and juices, with barista service. The pool area had sunbeds arranged in pairs with small hedges between them. There were almost always loungers available, and it was calm and quiet since most people went to the beach. There was a pool guard. Parking was free. The bar was open during the day until around 20:00 for drinks and ice cream. The hotel doesn’t provide beach loungers. La Conchiglia, the closest service provider, charged 18 EUR for two loungers and an umbrella, while nearby providers charged about 15 EUR for the same. There was no discount for hotel guests. Several providers served light lunches like pasta, salads, and sandwiches, and a few were open for dinner too.

Reception service was exceptional, and the rooms were nice and tidy. The breakfast was included, with lots of options, and was nice too. It’s close to the beach, a few kilometers from the Main Street. If you like walking, that’s no problem. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is very good, and all in all I thought the experience was okay. The hotel is relatively old, the rooms need a bit of maintenance, and breakfast is fairly basic.
