B&B Tufaro Alberico

We only had one night because of our itinerary, but it was a great experience. The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful, and we had a lovely chat with them over breakfast. We felt at home. The room and bathroom were both very clean, and the room was comfortable and well furnished. There wasn't a TV, but sometimes it's nice to unplug. Terranova di Pollino is a little gem in the mountains, and I don't agree with earlier reviews saying it's hard to find other things to do. Good old-fashioned conversation matters too. If you need a TV that badly, you're not in the right company. It's a simple, authentic, well-kept place with excellent value for money. We'll definitely come back.

We had a very pleasant stay, with kind, helpful owners and a generous breakfast that tasted great. The property is comfortable and well placed for visiting Terranova del Pollino, the surrounding area, and Pollino National Park. We also got to try traditional dishes prepared by Nunzia. It's definitely one to keep in mind for a future trip.

We won't be coming back. Our stay was unpleasant. We were in an apartment with the TVs removed, and the town was completely dark when we went out looking for a pleasant walk. We weren't after nightclubs or anything like that, but there wasn't really anywhere to spend the evening, so we had to return to the apartment and found it hard to be there without a TV. At checkout, they wouldn't return our documents until they had searched the apartment, as if there were some kind of treasure inside. Failed. The response we got also shows how rude they are.

The view was lovely, and it's only a short walk to the town center. Rooms are basic but welcoming, though the shower barely trickled and the bidet was wobbly. Breakfast muffins were still undercooked. They also kept our documents for 24 hours.
