Kalos restaurant, which Margurite's husband recommended, was very good, much better than the second restaurant we found on our own on the way back. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. Margurite and her husband were excellent hosts and very helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport for our 10:30 a.m. flight. We’d definitely stay here again.
We were ready for a filling meal after swimming all morning, and it hit the spot. Most of our table chose traditional Sicilian Busiate pasta with fish or meat, and it was fantastic, one of my best meals of the trip. The views were great, too. The staff were friendly and spoke English. Go get yourself some Busiate.
A handy spot for a quick coffee before flying out of Palermo. We came on our last day and enjoyed the views of the bay, the sea, and aircraft coming in to land at Palermo airport.
The service was really nice. They didn’t speak much English, but made a big effort to understand us and give us a good experience. The food was fresh, with well-balanced spices, and the extra virgin olive oil was among the best I’ve had. Great wine, too. :)
The terrace apartment was amazing, with all-round views of Terrasini that are hard to put into words. You could see the ocean, and sunrise through sunset. There was a big sunbed area, an outdoor dining table as well as one inside, and several comfy chairs. The apartment had authentic Italian decor, from the furniture to the paintings, and it all worked together beautifully. There was Netflix on the TV with English settings. The kitchen was fully equipped, with a large fridge-freezer, oven, basic cooking items, olive oil, coffee, and balsamic. There was air conditioning in both the kitchen and bedroom, and it could heat up to 30 degrees, which was perfect for the colder nights when I was there in February. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. You can take the lift or stairs to the top floor. The entrance has three small steps, and many of Terrasini’s beaches are only reachable by steep stairways, so I don’t think the accommodation or the area is accessible friendly. The nearest beach was a three-minute walk away. Two different supermarkets or shops were a six- or four-minute walk away, and there was a 24-hour tobacco shop and a bakery four minutes away. The quickest train trip to the airport took 25 minutes, and the airport was less than a 20-minute drive. Great for a short or long stay, and I’d come back. Grazie!
