Alpwellhotel Burggrafler

The staff were a real highlight, always smiling, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. Dinner changed every evening, with thoughtful recipes that showed the chef's care for flavors and combinations, and breakfast had a great range of options. We also made good use of both the spa and the small gym, and found everything in perfect order. Our room was lovely and traditionally Tyrolean, with a little balcony looking out over the mountains. The hotel sits in a genuinely peaceful spot, about fifteen minutes from Merano. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly return.

The peaceful setting, the tennis court, and the delicious meals all made our Easter break special. We stayed at Alpwellhotel Burggräffler with our two adult daughters, and from the first minute it was easy to unwind. The chalet was wonderful, and the Matcher family and their staff were incredibly friendly. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Thank you.

The grounds at Hotel Burggräfler are lovely, and the property is quiet and very well looked after. Our group of four, with two dogs, stayed in two Alpwell Chalets from August 30th to September 6th, 2025. Staff were accommodating and friendly, and we thought the food and drinks were excellent. The nearby orchards were also wonderful for walks with the dogs. Getting around was less convenient. Tisens is a bit far from the hotel, and there are very few places to shop close by. The only shop is at the neighboring campground. We'd booked a sofa bed separately, but it wasn't made up when we arrived. The staff fixed that, though the large pillows for it were still missing. More troubling, the sofa bed came unhooked and collapsed several times overnight. I couldn't get a restful sleep on it as an adult man. They tried to repair it more than once, without success. It might work for children, but not adults. After we kept asking, we were offered only a €50 discount for the uncomfortable nights. We expected more consideration. We've spent many holidays in beautiful South Tyrol and remember the owners' warmth fondly. We missed that warmth on this trip.

We were first-timers this year at Alpwell Hotel Burggräfler, among all those regular guests, and had a fantastic stay. What made the biggest impression on us was the people. From housekeeping and the service team to the kitchen and the family who run the hotel with so much heart, everyone works hard to make guests' holidays carefree. Their welcome and warmth came through wherever we were and at any time of day. There was plenty to enjoy beyond that: our spacious Deluxe Room, the beautifully landscaped garden and swimming pond, the generous breakfast buffet, and the evening meals all surpassed what we'd expected.
