The breakfast tasted good, though there wasn't much choice, and the price seemed fair for the standard. The hotel in Thiene, near the Alps, is very large, with lots of rooms and an interesting style throughout. Rooms were clean. Comfort could be better, but for this city it wasn't bad. It's an okay place, though if I came back to town I'd look for somewhere else.

The staff were friendly and relaxed, and the lift was handy. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, though I can't vouch for how fresh they were. The room I had could use better upkeep, and its bathroom was very small and dated, with a cramped shower area. The stairs felt like walking into a cave, with red carpet and green walls. Summer weekends in the area can be noisy and disruptive. I hope improvements are made, and wish the staff luck.

The room was dirty, we were itching, and the blanket we had to use hadn't been washed. We showered and ended up sleeping only under the sheets. The toilet light kept blinking and the hairdryer was broken, so we asked reception to check. They gave us a separate hairdryer. Booking.com said breakfast was free, but when we asked for a second cappuccino, the lady said it would cost extra. She also told another guest that we could have only one piece of each breakfast item. Then, at 10 am, the hot water stopped while I was showering. At first she said it was broken and needed maintenance, then said there was a way to turn hot water off for each room, but insisted ours hadn't been switched off. It started working again 15m later. I had to get out mid-shower, soaked and still covered in shampoo and shower gel, and caught a lot of cold. It felt like they were trying to save on expenses even though we'd paid as guests.

Good value for the price. The shower was a little small, but fine for a business trip, and parking was free. About 50m away there's an absolutely perfect restaurant with a magnificent fish dish, around 19Eur, though I forgot what it's called.
