That view is what kept drawing me back to this apartment, even though the narrow road up had me hesitating for a few weeks after finding it on Booking.com. I hate single lane roads! Then I read that booking directly could be cheaper, so I booked through the apartment’s website. The drive from Milan Bergamo was completely fine for me, even though I’m used to driving on the other side of the road in Scotland. Communication was brilliant from the start. I sent a WhatsApp to confirm when we’d arrive, and Isabelle’s husband met us and showed us around. We appreciated the practical extras after flying in: coffee, toilet roll, towels including a couple for the sun loungers, cloths, and kitchen bits. The apartment was spotless and modern, with lots of outdoor seating, sun loungers, and deck chairs. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped once we found the toaster and realized the hob only works with a pan on it 😂. Our teen slept on the living room sofa bed and was happy enough. Neighbours’ doors sometimes banged, but it wasn’t a big deal. Midway through, Isabelle checked in and arranged fresh towels and linen, which smelled amazing. I bought a fan at Lidl for the bedroom, typical Scots, not used to 30+ degree heat, and it made sleeping much easier. Waking up to the view each morning was amazing, and seeing fireflies at night was a lovely bonus. There were a few insects and the odd lizard, but nothing unexpected for the area. We used the apartment as a base to explore Lake Garda, and took bus tours to the Dolomites and Venice. There’s a wee supermarket about 2km away, and a Lidl in Riva. We only discovered the day before leaving that Tignale had much more to it than we’d thought. Park at the tourist info, walk past Al Torricho, a great restaurant, and you’ll find a few shops, ice cream spots, and more. The drive up was a little windy, but I’d stay again without hesitation. It was a peaceful retreat after visiting the busier towns around the lake. Huge thanks to Isabelle and her lovely family!

Watch out for unexpected cash fees! After a long journey, my sister arrived first at this beautiful setting. While unpacking, we met the owners, who were immediately very unfriendly because, as they put it, we had booked “for one person” for a €500 stay with four beds. They said we could either leave without a refund or pay extra. We were exhausted and unsure what to do, so we paid the extra fee. We book a house every summer, but this was unheard of. Overpriced, unfriendly, poor service, and no vacation feeling. I would not recommend Oasi Da Vinci.

Oasi Da Vinci is probably the prettiest apartment on Lake Garda. It sits high up, reached by the beautiful, winding SP 38, and driving in is an amazing experience. The apartment is very spacious and accessible, with no architectural barriers. It was spotless, the bedroom beds were very comfortable, and the view over all of Lake Garda and the Monte Baldo massif is phenomenal. It’s an ideal base for exploring Lake Garda, and the famous Strada della Forra is nearby. The owners were very nice and polite. I recommend Oasi Da Vinci for both short and long stays at Lake Garda.

A beautiful, welcoming house with a fantastic lake view. The owners were friendly, and the place was very clean. I stayed for 5 days. Thanks!
