Google Maps may send you through the back streets, where there's a construction site. Take the main road instead and save yourself some time and energy. The whole team at Hotel Curt di Clement Eco Mobility was kind and helpful. I travel all over the world and have stayed at plenty of 3+ star hotels, so I don't write this lightly: this place is a real gem. Others have already covered the room, breakfast and location, and I just wish we'd had more time there. We'll have to come back! Riccardo deserves a special thank you. His service was outstanding, and he went out of his way to make everything feel right and make us feel valued. Everyone on staff was friendly and professional. The hotel felt welcoming, was spotless and well organized, and the breakfast had a great selection. We had a wonderful stay and I'd highly recommend it.

To find the trail, head to Parko dei Gelsi on Google Maps. It begins there and goes away from town. The walk takes about 10 minutes, then you get a lovely river path with views of the Alps. It's flat and paved, good for walking or biking, and after about 30 minutes there's a spot where you can go down to the river and see the little waterfalls up close. The hotel itself is such a darling place, blending rustic character with modern, eco-friendly touches. Breakfast was wonderful, and the helpful staff speak English and are happy to answer questions. Google Maps took us onto a road closed for construction, so we had to drag our suitcases over cobblestones and walk farther than needed. There is a more direct route, so check the satellite view and pick your way if you're coming from the train station. Once we found the right route, it was only a short walk. They can also call a taxi, which costs about 10-12 euro. The back alleys just got us lost. Stick to the main roads to avoid pulling bags over cobblestones. The front desk manager was incredibly polite and focused on helping me when I mentioned my room was too warm. He moved me to a cooler room on a lower floor, while other guests with me preferred the warmer one upstairs. My room was 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and in Italy summer rooms are typically around 73-79 degrees. The staff were service-minded at breakfast too, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was nicely laid out, with fresh and dried fruit, eggs, bacon, bread, tomatoes, marinated tomatoes, yogurt, and gluten-free options, along with the coffee and croissant you might expect at a typical Italian breakfast. Some reviews say the breakfast wasn't up to speed, but many seemed to be from America's, where expectations may be different. The hotel does a lot that might not be typical in America but is normal in Italy. I care about the anatomy and first-class customer service, and this hotel was excellent for both. The manager told me his family used to own hotels before selling them, and now he works here. The owner is local, so it's sad to see what I believe may be unfair reviews. If you have concerns, talk to the front desk; they were very accommodating. I'd come back, asking for a lower-floor room if you like it cooler, or a higher floor if you prefer it warmer.
