Garni Hotel Kessler

We had a wonderful four days and three nights in Tirol. We needed somewhere for two couples, and by chance the owner of the garni hotel found us two adjoining bedrooms in a simpler, much more affordable hotel. The service was excellent. They changed a mattress and a duvet for us, and we really appreciated the breakfast buffet and freshly ground coffee.

It's our third visit since 2020, and we came back for four nights with our dog. This time we had a south-facing room with a balcony, and once again the warm welcome and quality made us feel at home. The owners are kind and attentive to guests' needs. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything needed. Breakfast has lots of variety, including homemade cakes, croissants, yogurt, and fresh fruit. We don't eat savory food, but saw plenty of options, including eggs cooked fresh. The hotel has a lovely pool and solarium, a cared-for garden with a swimming pond, and a charming barrel sauna. We also booked the private spa on the top floor. It's roomy and modern, with a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool, solarium, and spectacular mountain views. It costs extra, but we thought it was well worth it. We'll definitely return.

Tirolo Village is only a few minutes away on foot, and the host family were so friendly. Our south-facing double room had a big balcony and a fantastic view across Merano, with modern design throughout. We spent three wonderful nights here. The pool was clean and beautifully designed, and breakfast had everything we could want.

The hotel management were happy to share lots of tips, including a running route in the Passeier Valley. Our room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent, something we'll miss. Thanks for such a lovely stay at Hotel Kessler. We'd be glad to come back.
