Panorama Vital Hotel Rimmele

The rooms are a little dated, though comfortable. It’s expensive, but I think it’s worth it for the amazing location and views, along with very good food.

The view is charming, and the outdated rooms might have been tolerable, but the cleaning and reception experience were unacceptable. The hotel, especially the rooms, felt extremely old and was hard to breathe in. Room service also fell short: no fresh towels, tissues weren’t refilled, and the room wasn’t truly clean like in the pictures. At checkout, I showed photos of the dirty bathroom and asked what had happened and for a small discount under EU customer protection law. The receptionist was incredibly rude, spoke aggressively, and insulted me several times, making a big fuss. He knew I was right, of course, and eventually gave me a 10% discount. I wouldn’t stay there.

This is an ex-employee’s inside view. German manager Illmer gives visitors a fair show by exploiting employees. The hotel has the minimum staff needed to keep a Hotel**** running, and it may look neat, but inside it’s rotten. Visitors might not notice some of the details, but would you buy goods made by exploited children, war refugees, or people struggling financially? They’re tricked into slavery after job needs, underpaid, and mistreated. Just be aware.

The hotel is excellent, clean, and staffed by friendly, attentive people. Breakfast was a great buffet, and dinner at the restaurant was even better, in an elegant, refined, comfortable setting. Thanks so much. We’ll definitely be back.
