A beautiful tower in an amazing location.

A lovely, secluded spot in the heart of Umbria. From the spectacular roof terrace, you get incredible views. We used binoculars to watch bee-eaters, hoopoes, and birds of prey nearby. The stone walls keep the tower pleasantly cool, a welcome break from the July heat. The pool was very clean, and there’s even a toilet on the ground floor, in the living room to the left as you come in. The garden is another highlight, with lavender, pine, and rosemary. Raffaella, the attentive hostess, has chosen distinctive, colorful, modern interiors with real taste. You can feel as though you’ve stepped back into the Middle Ages without giving up luxury.

It feels private, elegant, and carefully maintained, tucked away from civilization while still only a few kilometers away. The air conditioning on the first floor is the one drawback.
