We had a really lovely three-night stay and made the most of the spa with the “wine lovers” package. It included a massage, body scrub, wine soak in a barrel, Turkish baths and time in the pool. The room was generous in size and gave us plenty of privacy, with lots of space for two adults. The beds were comfortable, the linens soft and the pillows divine. The restaurant staff were attentive and kind, and the food was very good. Since the resort is in a small town, there aren’t many dining options beyond the resort. We found the dinner menu a little limiting, though on our third night the kitchen happily made us lighter grilled vegetables and meat when we asked. Everyone, from check-in through check-out and across all the services, was professional, supportive and very kind. We’d happily do this wonderful weekend again!

The location is beautiful, in a historic building in medieval Torgiano, with very comfortable rooms, a pool surrounded by bucolic scenery and a spa. Those things reasonably justify a five-star rating. But the service at the pool didn’t match that standard: there were too many mistakes with our lunch request and a long wait. Also, please make minibar prices clear. We were unpleasantly surprised at checkout by a 4-euro charge for a 50 cl bottle of water.

This was the worst stay I’ve had in Italy so far. We’ve been traveling around the country as a family of four with a baby, and unfortunately chose Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa for two nights. The receptionists were really rude, and the look we got at check-in made none of us feel welcome. Maybe we didn’t look rich enough, who knows. Breakfast had very little choice, dry eggs and only a tiny selection of bread. The rooms were okay, but the AC didn’t work in one, and the connecting door in the other wouldn’t open after it had been closed. It made the place feel a bit like a demolished house. Housekeeping skipped both rooms. When we got back after a long day, there were no fresh towels and the beds hadn’t been made. We called for towels and got only one set, even though there were two of us in that room. There wasn’t a proper apology, just a mumbled sorry. Not worth a penny.

We chose Le Tre Vaselle for the hotel block for our wedding guests, and I’m so glad we found this unique place. More than 50 international guests came from around the world for our wedding in beautiful Torgiano, and everyone at the hotel helped make the weekend run smoothly and memorable. Rosemery and Andrea were fantastic from the start, going above and beyond to help. They even arranged the welcome pizza party on the terrace and added lovely touches to make the evening special. Rosemery spent the day in town securing the music permit required by Italian law so an accordionist could play for our guests. The hotel itself is charming and beautiful, with a gym, spa, restaurant and wine cellar. Its decorated passages, corridors and little nooks and cellars are so winding that it’s easy to get lost. The town is small and friendly, with cute restaurants and shops, and vineyards and medieval towns like Spello and Bevagna are easy to reach. The whole staff is friendly and eager to make the stay special. I’m grateful for all the coordination and care, and look forward to returning to Torgiano to see the friends we made and relive those memories. If you’re planning a wedding at nearby Castello di Rosciano, I recommend considering this hotel for your guests.

We spent a few days in Torgiano and decided to try the spa for a day after friends in Lucca and Assisi highly recommended it. My husband and I chose the three-hour treatment, and it was beyond incredible. We stayed together in the same room throughout, where the Turkish bath, tub and treatment tables were all together. It began with the Turkish bath, then a full-body scrub and massage using wine-infused products. After that, we soaked for about 20 minutes in an exquisite tub filled with wine, with glasses of wine and snacks. We went back to the tables for a lotion rubdown using wine-infused product, followed by a facial. Later they took us to another room to rest with aromatherapy and relaxing music. We’ve never been treated like that. It was heaven. Gaia Nicolova and Gemesis Saeqsar were wonderful in their care and professionalism, and totally pampered us. The spa is beautifully appointed and everyone was so kind and caring. In our 60-plus years, we’ve never had such a magnificent experience. We can’t wait to return, and we’ll never forget it.
