The setting is beautiful and cosy, and everyone working there was attentive, polite, and really efficient. We had lunch for two and went with the à la carte menu. The food was excellent, from the starter trio to the blueberry and speck risotto and the house desserts. There’s also a lovely selection of regional wines at very reasonable prices. I did have to ask about the house wine price, since the list doesn’t say whether it’s for a glass, carafe, or bottle. I’m pretty particular about wine lists, so I’d like those quantities spelled out. Even with the tasting menu, it seems you can swap dishes for à la carte options, except for the tagliata, which costs extra. I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms are simple and rustic, but functional, and the people were quiet and polite. It’s a relaxing spot among the rice fields, with good food and good value for money. Æ
