Il Belvedere

The food really impressed us, from the little complimentary appetizers and bread to the main courses and desserts. Everything tasted fresh, full of flavor, and high quality. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, and we never felt pressured or looked down on. We were a bit unsure what to expect since we don't usually go to fancier restaurants, especially when it comes to prices and service. The prices were on the higher side, but felt more than fair for the food, service, and views. We decided to eat here while staying in Torno, and it went beyond what we expected. Highly recommend!

The lakeside location has an amazing view, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We loved how delicious the food and desserts were. It was a wonderful experience, and I'll definitely visit again if I come to como.

We loved the spacious, comfortable room and the breakfast most of all. There were lots of choices, and breakfast ran for a long stretch, 7-10, I believe. The room we had is worth recommending too: it opened onto a shared terrace and had its own semi-private seating area. Nobody else used the terrace while we were there, so it felt pretty much private. The woman serving us was fantastic, and the service from the restaurant and hotel staff made the place memorable. Dinner was good, though the octopus was the only dish that really stuck with me. Fine dining may just not be my thing. At the beginning of dinner, ants were crawling over the table, plates, and us. The staff member quickly moved us when we asked, though we also had to ask another server a couple of times, and he seemed new. We may have been seated in the wrong spot for that time of year. The view was incredible, but at these prices it would help if the overhead tarp covered more of the dining area. Once we moved farther inside, we had a better evening.
