The location was the strongest part for us: a grocery store right across the road, safe street parking, and it felt fine with kids. The courtyard and its jacuzzi weren't available to us, though. Vincenzo and Alberto were lovely when we arrived, and helped us during the stay. The cleaning lady was very nice too. The room looked clean at first, but moving the furniture revealed dust balls. The shower door wouldn't shut even when pushed hard, so water could run onto the floor, and with no bathroom ventilation there was a lot of dampness and visible mold spores. We also found the ceiling light stayed on through the night, which was a problem since we like a dark room. Our arrival was already stressful: our flight was delayed four hours, then renting the car took two hours. While I was driving unfamiliar roads, I got two WhatsApp messages asking when we'd arrive. It felt dangerous to reply behind the wheel. A message the previous day could have given me their WhatsApp contact so I could update them once we landed. I'd give the place itself three stars. I feel it's overrated, and that people, myself included, add stars because the owners are kind. For the owners and staff, five stars. I wish I could rate it five overall, but these issues held it back.

We felt so at home with the hosts that leaving was hard. They were incredibly helpful, and even though we didn't speak the same language, they made us feel like visiting family. The garden is lovely, and the place looked just like its booking-site photos, so I didn't bother taking any to post. It's also a handy base for Vesuvius and Pompei, with Salerno a short train ride away. From there you can book boat trips to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri. Those popular places can get crowded, so it may be best to buy tickets online a day or two ahead. We'd definitely come back.

The hosts were the nicest people, and the whole family speaks several languages. Breakfast was great, with fresh orange juice made from oranges picked in their beautiful courtyard. The property was very clean and had lots on offer, including laundry, free parking, breakfast, and that lovely courtyard. They showed us the other rooms too, and they looked amazing, almost enough to make us wish we'd come without the kids. Just kidding. We also got to try their homemade wine, limoncello, and marmalade, all family recipes. Getting around was easy by car: Herculenium, Pompei, and Vesuvius are all 10-15 minutes away, and there's a major highway nearby. The train station is close too, and it's the way to go to Naples. Don't try driving there, honestly, it's a disaster. Cetara on the Amalfi Coast is about 33 minutes by car, Salerno is another beautiful major port, and Sorrento is around 40 minutes away. There are good places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk, including a great pizzeria just 50 metres down the street. We left another review for it. We'd recommend staying here whether you're with family, as a couple, or travelling solo. The owners' attentiveness was hard to describe.

There's a cute garden here, and Alberto was such a kind, helpful owner. The place was clean, and the location worked well, with a grocery store nearby and the train station an easy walk away.
