Hotel Ristorante La Ripa

The restaurant serves delicious dishes made with local products, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the whole place has a really pleasant atmosphere. I’ve just come back from a few days’ holiday at La Ripa, and it was just as lovely as my stay last year. I’ve also spent a few winter days there. I’d definitely suggest it for an enjoyable holiday in Fiuggi.

The hotel looks great, and the people there are kind and nice. The rooms are very good, though you may find something broken in yours. It’s hard to find, since it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

The food was tasty, and the staff were helpful and polite. There are plenty of balconies and facilities for kids, including a playground. It’s a fairly large, comfortable family hotel on a scenic hillside, and waking up to birdsong outside was lovely. Our double room was comfortable, but the two beds were separate and we had to push them together. It would help if their legs could be fastened together for couples. The bathroom was huge, with a big tub. I’d prefer a more typical shower with a sink, which I consider a more hygienic setup. We were there in late April and the room felt very cold. We didn’t realize until the second night that the AC could heat the room too, so keep that in mind. The bathroom heater also wasn’t working for us. The doors to our room, the second on the right on the third floor, didn’t fit their frame properly, so that needs fixing. It would also be great if the hotel entrance were easier to reach with wheeled luggage, or with a wheelchair.

There was a lot of noise from some people screaming and jumping around, which made for a poor stay. The double bed wasn’t really a double, just two beds pushed together with a big gap between them. The room was freezing, and the bathroom heater didn’t work, so it felt like walking into a fridge. We also had no hot water at first. We asked about it, then waited about 30 minutes for it to be fixed. Unfortunately, not a great experience.
