Agriturismo Sofi Turna

We came as two families and found the rooms roomy and comfortable. The pool was perfect, and the people were lovely. We stayed on Sunday, when there was a party with local people. A nice place to stay.

The food was great.

Pavia could really use a place for live music, and Blue River American Ranch has potential. I went to its first live music night last night and had a very positive time. The country-style interior is lovely, with plenty of well-planned space. Dinner and the show were included after registration, and the price was more than fair. Since it was my first visit, some of the organization seemed a bit shaky: there was no menu, and even with reservations made in advance, the food options were limited. The draft beer and pizzas were good, though there weren't many toppings. Bar service could be better. Those points are just suggestions for improving things. I'll definitely come back.

The garden had piles of debris, and the pool was dirty. The rooms had no keys, and the managers were away for much of the day. Breakfast was meager and bland, served poorly and charged separately, though that wasn't made clear in the presentation. There were cats walking over the tables and bar counter, carpets soaked with cat urine, and dogs growling as they came toward you in the lobby. From the photos, the property looked excellent, but in person it seemed semi-abandoned. A place to forget.
