Le Vie Mediterranee

We stayed from August 11 to August 21, 2021, as a couple in our forties. The village itself was a highlight, with narrow lanes, houses close together and people greeting you with a smile. Our room was under the town hall rather than in the main building, and had recently been renovated. Everything was new, clean and tidy. Along with the bathroom, there was a little breakfast room with a fridge, milk warmer and coffee pod machine, plus two TVs, one in each room. The staff were young, enthusiastic and very friendly, and everything was exceptionally clean. The cooler evenings made it easy to sleep after those days of intense heat. Soverato and its lovely beaches and clear sea are about 20 minutes away, or you can visit other villages and have lunch featuring local food. We left the car where the asphalt ended at the start of the historic centre, then walked a short way to our room. Mediterranean roads are a good fit if you really want to switch off and rest well. Would we come back? Happily.

There’s no Wi-Fi, and during the hottest part of the day the apartment could use air conditioning, though the evenings are cool. It’s about 20 minutes from the sea, and while there’s no private parking, spaces are available nearby. The place is pleasant and the village is quiet. Inside are two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and a lovely balcony. Towels, a hairdryer, pastries and biscuits are provided, along with water, juice and coffee.

Peccati di gola, above which the spacious, comfortable apartment sits, served a fantastic breakfast. The village is beautiful, cool and cozy, and the setting is lovely.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the place felt truly peaceful, just right for relaxing. It’s also well placed for exploring either coast. The property is new, clean and nicely furnished, with TVs in every room. There are two roomy double bedrooms and a very pleasant living area opening onto a small terrace with a table.
