Hotel La Perla

We spent 8 nights here and slept very well. The room wasn’t especially modern, but it was roomy, quiet, and comfortable, and housekeeping was efficient. Breakfast was decent rather than elaborate, with fresh coffee, cakes, and fruit. Wi-Fi was reliable and there was plenty of free parking; the road just outside the hotel grounds was very quiet. The pool is nice for a morning or even a full day, with a bar right beside it for coffee and drinks. Arbatax and Porto Frailis are quiet, with some good restaurants around, while the area by Arbatax marina is livelier. Tortoli is a few minutes farther by car, with more shops, though it felt too touristy for me. The hotel manager helped us get a good deal on an afternoon gommone trip from Santa Maria Navarrese along the coast. It was really great, and cost 135 E plus 30 E fuel. For a relaxing afternoon by the sea, the beaches near the hotel are all very enjoyable. Recommended overall.

The staff were attentive and very friendly, and our room had a mini fridge, a good bathroom, and a spacious, modern feel. The bed and pillow were great too. Breakfast included two different cakes each day, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, and a good cappuccino. One suggestion: it’d be better to have real glasses in the room and bathroom instead of disposable plastic.

The garden is beautiful, the pool is lovely, and the breakfast area is great, with delicious food. The place was very clean and conveniently located between the port of Arbatax and the city of Tortolì. The staff were friendly and ready to help make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

A clean, pleasant hotel with a pool and really friendly staff. Breakfast was fine, about the same as at the other hotels we stayed in around Sardinia.
