The apartments are really nice and spacious. One downside is the extra arrival fee: coming outside the 4-6 p.m. window costs €50, and arriving after midnight can cost as much as €100.

The five young German men at the pool were noisy and swore, then carried on in the yard into the night. The whole thing felt creepy. I don’t know what sort of guests they usually rent to, but I wouldn’t want my family or children around that again.

The apartment was clean, and the grounds and pool were very well cared for. It’s a nice, quiet hillside spot in Gaino with a Lake Garda view, though the access road is very narrow. The apartment could use better equipment: there isn’t enough crockery or cutlery, so you have to wash dishes after every meal. A few pictures on the walls would also make it feel more welcoming. Parents with small children should know the pool is only separated by a rope. For the price, the value doesn’t quite add up.
