Tenuta La Preferita

The Lake view alone made the stay worthwhile, it really blew me away. Our apartment was cozy and clean, and the team was super friendly. There are several choices in the area, but this one stands out. I can't recommend it enough.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they even brought fresh bread and pastries each morning when we ordered the day before. The facilities were very well kept, and our accommodation was clean and comfortable on the western shore of Garda lake.

The owners were incredibly nice, helpful, smart, and well-intentioned, but that wasn't enough to make this a good holiday for us. The place may suit people who like secluded areas, but it wasn't our type of accommodation. It had no personality and didn't feel safe for children, perched on a hill beside a small wild forest area with a sharp slope and only a few distant neighbors. Getting there was a nightmare. The road was extremely steep and narrow, with no public lighting or other lights. It was very hard in our BMW 3series. I'm mentioning the model because we'd read that the road was steep and narrow but hadn't realized just how much. Inside, they tried to make things nice, but it didn't work for us. There was a dishwasher but no terrace light. The bed and sofa weren't good quality, and for two big, tall people they were impossible to sleep on.

We stayed 11 nights in September 2021, and the atmosphere was great. The apartments were clean, the pool was great, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Good for kids too.
