The view from the balcony was lovely, and the balcony itself was a good size, but there was no privacy from neighboring apartments because there were no dividers. The location also wasn’t especially convenient, since you basically need a car to get around. The view was very good, but the turquoise apartment sat right below a whirlpool that ran constantly, and its vibrations were very noticeable in the bedroom. The pictures made the place look much better than it was, as if they’d been heavily edited. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the bed seemed badly put together, rattling with every movement. Almost all the dishes were dirty, which was surprising given the substantial cleaning fee. Everything else was clean, although small and large insects kept appearing on the floor. The garbage area was accessible directly from the bathroom, and there was no window there that could be closed. We were told to sort the rubbish carefully, with a sign in the storage room saying the host could charge €100 otherwise. Cristina couldn’t be there at checkout, but several hours after we’d left she messaged that she would charge us €100 because we hadn’t taken the trash out. That requirement hadn’t been mentioned anywhere. The rubbish is only collected sporadically during the week, so you can’t leave six bags on the street when some might sit there for days. We’d also paid around €177 for cleaning. If the previous guests paid the same and the dishes were still dirty, what was that fee for? Absolutely not recommended, and far too expensive for what we got.

The terrace is huge and beautiful, with a breathtaking view over Lake Garda. The apartment is very well equipped, including a fully automatic coffee machine and everything else you might need. A top-class holiday apartment.

We stayed in the Blue room, which had a breathtaking view of Lake Garda and a huge balcony with an outdoor table and bench. The apartment was very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, and there were two fantastic jacuzzis upstairs. They’re shared with three other apartments, but everyone can have their own space if they’re considerate. The owner was very friendly. It’s a magical place in a good location, and we’ll definitely return.

We spent a week at Residence Virgilio in September, in the Azzuro apartment, and felt comfortable and welcome throughout. The furnishings are thoughtfully done, and the lake view may be the best you can get. The landlady was easy and pleasant to communicate with from the start. Some apartments have a bathtub, which was fantastic, and the rooftop whirlpool was a pleasure too. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
