A fantastic place.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the apartment and rooms are pleasant, well cared for, and have every comfort. There’s a fridge and kettle in the living room for hot drinks. The setup is a small sitting room leading to four bedrooms, each with its own key. It’s in the heart of the city, a few minutes from the port, the Duomo, and the park, so all the most characteristic areas are an easy walk away. The only slight downside is the second-floor climb with no elevator, though the traditional, airy entrance makes it pleasant.

The room was spacious, with a small private bathroom, and there’s a fridge and dishes in the shared living area. It’s on the second floor of a beautiful building, without an elevator. The welcome was charming, though the air conditioning works more like a fan.

Billi de Vita is quite a character, and gave us a warm welcome, helped with our bags, and shared plenty of ideas for places to visit, sights to see, and food to try. There was cold bottled water waiting in the fridge, much appreciated in that scorching heat. Everything was very clean, and there was coffee, toast, and jam for guests. Breakfast isn’t included, but that was enough for us. I recommend the place. Just bear in mind there are two floors and no elevator, though the stairs are manageable for someone with mobility issues.
