The rooftop terrace was a lovely spot to spend some time, and our hosts were warm and friendly. This B&B is in central Trani, about five minutes from the port. The one thing that could be better is the WiFi stability.

We really enjoyed the easygoing feel of Trani, and the train station made it convenient to visit places like Barletta, Bari, Monopoli, and even Rome if you don't mind a longer trip. It's a small town that doesn't feel overwhelmed by tourism, and most people we met were friendly Italians. One bit of practical advice: Italian breakfasts are light, often just a croissant and coffee, and many restaurants don't open until 20:00. If you're used to a big breakfast or an early dinner, you'll need to find something to eat before then. Apart from that, it was a lovely Dolce Vita stay. The apartment is in B&B Torrente Antico, in Trani's old town, inside a beautiful tenement house that's at least a few hundred years old. It has high ceilings, nice finishings, plenty of space, and a comfortable style. The bed is large, the bathroom has a shower and all the amenities we needed, and there's a balcony and well-functioning A/C. The hosts were incredibly friendly and happy to chat, and gave us good tips for sights and restaurants. They changed the towels every day, made the bed, and cleaned the floor, even though we hadn't asked. Breakfast was served Italian-style in the small cafe opposite the building. The port, attractions, restaurants, and shops are all close by.

We left Trani completely charmed by it. Staying at Torrente Antico was a wonderful experience, and Silvia and her husband were fantastic hosts. The accommodation is beautiful, with exquisite decor. We also loved the delicious breakfast at the chocolate shop, and I'm bringing home a very special gift from Silvia.

We were very happy with our short time in Trani. The old building has been renovated, and our room and bathroom were spotless, quiet, and well equipped. Sylvia and Alessandro looked after us so well. The location made it easy to explore the city on foot, with the port just five minutes away. A bonus was the secure parking a few streets from the building, for 7 euros.
