Hotel San Paolo al Convento

The staff made this holiday at Hotel San Paolo al Convento really special. Sara was particularly helpful, getting in touch well ahead of time and arranging things for us, including the hotel reservation and suggestions for local car hire companies. Carmen, Alphonso, the reception staff, cleaners, and restaurant colleagues were all excellent, professional, and welcoming. It’s a gem of a hotel in so many ways, and especially because of its lovely staff. Thank you for a very lovely holiday. James & Jennifer

Last week, a group of retirees from the city of Netanya in Israel stayed at the hotel. I’d like to thank the hotel for its dedicated service and kindness, as well as the beautiful, clean rooms and delicious food at breakfast and dinner. The location was amazing too. Thank you very much.

The Wi-Fi worked well. My room at this Harborside hotel, formerly a convent, may have been the Abbess' room. It was enormous, and so was the bathroom, though the shower was a bit cramped and I couldn’t keep water off the bath mat. The armchair sat quite low and sank a lot, so it probably needs work. The carpet in the lobby and public areas needs a deep clean or replacement. It was fine in the rooms, though dated.

The views from the spacious, comfortable rooms were wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were charming, too. We only had one night at this beautiful former convent, restored into an excellent hotel, and would gladly have stayed longer. It made for a very pleasant visit to beautiful Trani. We’ll be back!
