You might not expect a place like this! The online photos really do show its elegance and style. The Vigna Caracciolo staff gave us a gracious welcome, and their care for guests’ needs made for a relaxing stay over several days. Having access to a private beach at no extra cost was convenient, especially if you prefer a quiet break. We highly recommend it.

The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling, but I honestly don't understand all the positive reviews. The facility itself left a lot to be desired. Our room was VERY TINY and dated, built of plasterboard, with ants in the room, bathroom, and bed, plus spiders. The locks didn't always work. The sink was outside the bathroom, there was NO bidet, no window, and no balcony. The bed was queen size, NOT king size, and towels weren't changed. A larger person might not fit through the door. The website photos are strategically placed. What a waste of money. Breakfast was another problem. There was no real choice beyond drinks: they brought what they said they'd bring, including waffles already covered in Nutella, with no option between spreads and jams. Jams are supposed to be served separately in designated sealed containers by law. If I want a croissant without jam, am I expected to eat it with the jam they choose? I'm allergic to Nutella, and although breakfast SHOULD be a personal choice, I didn't mention my hazelnut and almond allergies. When they brought their own sweets, I had no choice.

We spent New Year's Eve 2024 here and couldn't have picked better. Rossella Quarto was a talented singer, bringing everyone into the music and creating real emotion. The food was superb, prepared impeccably by the chef, with Apulian cooking given a modern touch that surprised us in a good way. Huge congratulations to Mrs. Mariangela and the whole staff. It was an unforgettable New Year's Eve. Well done, everyone. Ad maiora!
