A Due Passi Dal Centro

The place is about 1 km from the city center, so driving and parking by the entrance to the historic center at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele is probably easiest. There's free parking nearby, but check the signs for street cleaning. We were in the third-floor apartment, reached by at least 50 steps, and the building has no elevator. The new air conditioning worked well, and the two single beds were fine for people under 1.80 m. It's a practical place to rest and shower if you don't need to cook. The bathroom seems recently renovated, but there's no bidet and the water makes a lot of noise when used. There's barely a dining table, and not what you'd need to make pasta. The price felt fair.

We stayed a couple of days at B&B A Due Passi dal Centro and I can see why it gets some points, though I couldn't rate it above 3 out of 5. The €55 nightly price was good, as were early check-in, fairly easy parking, a mostly quiet neighborhood, the new working air conditioner, recently renovated-looking bathroom, and welcoming, helpful staff. Getting to our third-floor room meant hauling luggage up over 50 steps, since there's no elevator. The kitchenette had almost nothing for cooking, with no big pasta pot or frying pan, so we mostly ate out and only had cold food in the room. The narrow bathroom had no bidet and couldn't fit two people at once. There was no Wi-Fi at all. The beds weren't suitable for anyone over 180 cm, and the window wouldn't shut properly, letting wind in during bad weather. The water pump was very noisy, and the center was at least 1 km away.

A small, charming place on the ground floor, quiet and well equipped. The anteroom and bathroom were lovely, and there's a good bakery and supermarket nearby. The price was very affordable too.

The owner was very kind and gave us all the information and tips we needed for Trapani and the surrounding area. Our apartment was lovely and close to the center. It was on the top floor, though, and there was no elevator, so anyone with mobility issues should keep that in mind. Recommended for a stopover.
