Alla Busiata BB

The rooftop terrace is lovely, and the location is excellent. But the almond room we stayed in had a constant, awful damp and moldy smell. Opening the windows barely helped, and then we were kept awake by countless mosquitoes. It felt like choosing between the stench and getting bitten. The shower couldn't be used, the bidet didn't work, and the windowless bathroom had no fan. All the inside door keys are identical, so it would be easy to walk into somebody else's room. Breakfast was just packaged snacks, which I didn't touch.

The almond room had a horrible musty, moldy odor, and the bathroom was unusable: the shower head was broken, the tub was dirty, and the drains smelled strongly of sewage. We reported the smell after our first night and were moved to the basil room, which had no odor and a usable bathroom. The WiFi never worked during our stay, even though we asked about it and were told it would be fixed soon. At check-in, the owner said something unusual had come up and her card terminal was down, so she needed cash. The breakfast basket was there from the start with a croissant, two bars, and coffee pods, plus a cake on a stand. We were told it was replenished, but it wasn't, and it all looked like it had been sitting there for months. Someone else was put in the smelly almond room after us, and I really feel for them. If that room hadn't been such a rip-off, I doubt I'd be writing this review.

The port is nearby, which is the one real plus. The building is run-down, the bathrooms are worn, and the white bedspreads were stained. Rooms have no privacy and are very noisy because basic doors are used as dividers. You can't pay by card. The included breakfast is low-quality packaged food, and although the property says it has parking, there isn't any.

The room was spacious and the B&B is well located, but that's about it. Breakfast wasn't good enough, we had to wash the dishes more than once, and the bathrooms couldn't be used. A real disappointment. We won't come back.
