Gaura Apartments

The apartments are in a great location and the view is lovely, but the parking situation was a real problem. Before we booked, we were told there was free parking. There wasn't, and we had to pay €12 a day. When I showed the staff the message, they just shrugged. The shower head was broken, so we had to use the handheld part, and there was barely any hot water. They also charge for beach towels, and the pillows were terrible. For the price, I think there are better hotels in Trapani. This place is overpriced and has no amenities, so you'll leave disappointed. The view is nice, though.

La Gancia Residence's helpful hosts carried our luggage and took us to the accommodation, just a minute's walk away. The location is excellent, close to shops and restaurants in the old town, and it was about a 15-minute walk to the port for our Egadi Boating Levanza Favignana boat tour, which I highly recommend. Our fourth-floor apartment was quiet, and the lift was handy with luggage. There’s also a rooftop terrace with lovely views. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had fantastic sea and sunset views from the verandah, which had a table, chairs, and a clothes drying rack. The bed was very comfy, and the shower and bathroom were great. The kitchen in-cupboard facilities seemed sufficient, though we didn't use them. Street parking was good, or there’s a car park about 10 minutes away on foot that wasn't too expensive. The Easy Park app would have been convenient, but it didn't work on our Aussie mobiles. We loved our stay and will return.

We stayed in a Superior Studio with a sea view at Gaura Apartments in Trapani. The room was quite spacious, and the balcony gave us lovely sea views in both the morning and evening.
