Graziella Rooms and Apartments

The one good thing, apart from the location near the center, was the young man who greeted us. He was kind, though he didn’t know much. We weren’t told the road was closed, and the room was hot with no air conditioning, although the fans did work. We didn’t expect a luxury suite for that price, but the apartment we got was still a letdown. It’s on the top floor, with steep stairs and no elevator. No services were included at all: no towels or hair dryer, and the refrigerator couldn’t be used because there was no adapter. The shower only trickled, and we had to hold the showerhead to keep water from flooding the room.

The location was the only good part. We spent two nights in a run-down apartment, and the room was dark and dirty. There were no amenities or towels, and the welcome wasn’t great. At least, unlike what other guests apparently experienced, we didn’t have to wait an hour for the owner to show up.

The location in the photos didn’t match what we found. There was dirt everywhere, including on the towels and bedding, and the refrigerator was dirty too. The drain didn’t work, and everything smelled of mold. The stairs were only 50 cm wide, so getting suitcases up was difficult. We couldn’t stay in those conditions. When we called the owner to explain the problems, she blocked us. We left early and, of course, didn’t get our money back. It ruined our vacation.

There was no running water at all, not even from the taps, so we couldn’t flush the toilet. The place itself was extremely poor, but that became a secondary issue. We’d seen the awful reviews and accepted the place to save money, but with no sleep either, it made no difference. There are no windows, and what they call air conditioning is just fans. When we told the owner about the water, she replied, “You’ve had your fill, it’s easy to slander later.” Bring a sleeping bag, I guess. At least the port gets wind and rain.
