For a Sicilian breakfast, you pay an extra €10 per person. The basic breakfast is something you prepare yourself, with toast, jam, yogurt, and almond milk; the only equipment is a kettle. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast, and all of it was without a receipt. The room was extremely cramped, with a huge table that served no purpose. There were no windows, and the bathroom’s blind fan vented into the room, which was absurd. There’s no bidet in the bathroom either.

Maria Rosa’s cooking is truly excellent, and we’d gladly come back. We had the pleasure of staying in this charming place, which was comfortable and spotless, and meeting Maria Rosa and her son Edoardo. They’re lovely people. Sara and Antonella
