Casa Etnea

I've been back for a third visit, and it's always a pleasure. You get peace and quiet, with a great view in every direction, and there are good walking options nearby. Guzeppe is just a phone call away. Thank you.

Giuseppe is a very welcoming owner, and the property has a walking trail close by. It's a lovely place for a family holiday, with lava featured walls, wood all around, and a clean, relaxing pool. The kids have a trampoline too, and there's a Bar B Q area. You can eat inside or outside, and there's a full kitchen. Parking is behind a gate.

Giuseppe and his wife made Casa Etnea truly special. Giuseppe was kind, quick to respond, and very accommodating throughout our stay, even helping with advice before we left. His knowledge as a mountain expert and his recommendations were really valuable. The house sits somewhere peaceful, away from the bustle, and grocery shopping is about a 10 minute drive away, so you can stock up before settling in. We were a family of four visiting over Easter, and the renovated former vineyard house was comfortable and thoughtfully styled. We could have breakfast and dinner out on the terrace despite the season. The terrace looks out to the ocean, and from the back of the house you get a breathtaking view of Etna. It's also a convenient base for all the hikes on and around the mountain. We loved our stay and hope to come back.

The bed was very comfortable, the coffee machine was good, and the house had everything we needed, including strong wifi. It's a great place for getting away from the city, surrounded by nature and quiet. The host was excellent and very accommodating, and has written several books about hiking in Sicily.
