Agriturismo Collevento

We were sorry not to stay at least another week, with a boat trip and a few more beaches still on our wish list. During our week there, though, we enjoyed the beaches of Maratea and the mountains of Pollino Natural Park. Our apartment felt almost like a house, with big, airy rooms, plenty of space, and, above all, excellent cleanliness. It also had a washing machine. Outside, there was a lovely garden with a hammock, games, and a barbecue area, and our terrace looked out over the mountains of Basilicata and Calabria. We met the owner when we arrived and again when we left, and it was so nice to talk with the host and trade tips about the area. That personal contact matters to me, especially compared with the impersonal lockbox rentals that have become common. She even gave us vegetables from her garden, including eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, and peas. Trecchina is very close, with affordable shops, and Maratea is only a few minutes away. The elevated setting meant July weather that was just right, with especially pleasant nights. The week was exactly what we hoped for from an agriturismo in Basilicata, a region that deserves to be better known. All the best to Agriturismo Collevento!
