Locanda Guelfo

We finally made it to La Locanda, tucked into Tredozio’s old center, which is lovely for an evening stroll. The cappelletti with parmesan were really good; the mushroom tagliatelle and baked melanzane were just okay. The castrato came later, and I’d been told it was exceptional. Portions were small across the board and didn’t match the prices. Maybe the prices are typical for the area, but people in Romagna expect a good-sized meal when they eat out. The place itself looks lovely, and the staff were okay, even friendly, but the service didn’t feel attentive. We waited ages for a table where we could stay longer, then for a menu, and about an hour for the first dish. The table of around twelve may have held things up, but they should handle that better. I’m glad we tried it, though I wouldn’t really recommend it. We’d probably get served faster at a pizzeria or another restaurant.
