The lack of air conditioning was a real downside. In hot weather the apartment gets stuffy, and that affected our impression. It also isn’t a private area, since the host family of four and their dog live directly upstairs on the second floor. Otherwise, the apartment is spacious at 110 sq m, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a studio with a kitchen. The view of Como is magnificent.

The terrace has a superb view, but getting to the cottage by car is very difficult and makes parking a problem. We reported that the bathroom toilet wasn’t working; it stayed that way for our entire stay.

The hosts were warm and welcoming, and communication before and during our stay was excellent. The apartment was comfortable and stylish, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen including a freezer, comfortable beds, and private parking. Everything looked new and was impeccably maintained. It’s centrally placed on the western shore, close to Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello, with stunning lake and mountain views. One tip: drive to the free parking at Villa Balbianello in the morning, then carry on by boat or bus. Casa Eleganza is a perfect place to stay.
