We spent four nights in July. The views are stunning, the pool is nice, and some of the staff are friendly. Rooms are dated, but very clean, with nice panoramic balconies. We chose half board; the food was okay, though not great. Some desserts were only alcoholic, so our daughter couldn’t have them, and all the coffee was bad. The receptionist seemed to hate her job. Tip: walk down to the cafe in the next village for great coffee.

It’s about a 15-minute walk into the village, where Palacio del Angelo is a better bet for food than dinner at the hotel. Just remember you’ll have to walk back up the hill. We had a good stay overall. The balcony views were lovely, the waiting staff were nice, and the rooms were very clean, if not especially stylish. Breakfast was a bit uninspiring, though the restaurant view was great. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable, and I’m not sure how the place earns a four-star rating.

Swimming at Port Tignale is a good option. It’s a very nice place, with loungers and parasols for €22, showers and toilets, and a pleasant bar serving snacks. Parking costs €2 per hour. Back at the apartment, the balcony has a beautiful view of Lake Garda, and everything you need is provided. There’s a pool with a bar, plenty of parking, and real peace and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it a wonderful stay.
