Breakfast was a highlight. There wasn’t a huge range, but the local products seemed thoughtfully chosen, and the made-to-order omelette was the best I’ve ever had. We couldn’t try dinner because the restaurant was closed on the day we stayed. Our one night at Schwarzer Adler in August 2025 became a favorite part of our two-week holiday. The rooms were clean and spacious, with useful storage for a longer visit, and the kitchen had all the essentials. Communication before arrival was clear, we were welcomed warmly, and hearing about the building’s history was a lovely touch. We’ll absolutely return.

The breakfast was delicious, and the service was fantastic. The property is set in a beautiful building centuries old, restored with great care. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend eating at the restaurant too.

Sophia, the Hotel Manager, welcomed us warmly and check-in went smoothly. The care and attentive service stood out. Our spacious Suite was comfortable and modern, with thoughtful design, creative touches, and details that retained its history. The spa and wellness area made it easy to relax. We also loved the locally sourced breakfast in the lovely restaurant. The hotel felt connected to the region and its culture. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

The restaurant felt overwhelmed during our August high-season visit, which wasn’t ideal, even if understandable. The food itself was great at both breakfast and dinner. I spent three days at Schwarzer Adler and enjoyed the stay. The hotel’s 800-year history and full renovation before reopening in 2024 make for a pleasant result, with elegant rooms and a small but beautiful wellness center and gym. A real plus: they’re open until 21:00.

The place was very clean during my two-night stay, and the staff were welcoming and polite. Cleanliness stood out most for me, a 10/10 🤩. I hope to come back.
