The view was the only good part of our stay. We’d mentioned in our booking message that it was our honeymoon, but nothing special happened when we arrived. That’s fair enough if it’s the place’s policy. The room smelled of urine, though, and when we mentioned it, we were told to open the window because there were no other rooms. The next day we found an unusually large number of hornets inside. We thought they’d come through the window, but more showed up the following day. It was dangerous, especially with our dog there. Staff checked and found a huge hornet nest in the fireplace. They lit a big fire right in front of us, and the hornets fell into it. Apparently, other rooms had nests too, so this should be checked before guests arrive. Dinner cost 38 EUR per person without drinks. It tasted good, but the portions were tiny. A couple at the next table said so and were told to ask for more. We did that the next day, and the chef gave my husband another portion, but then we were charged for it. This was a long way from the peaceful honeymoon we wanted, and we can’t recommend this agriturismo. We left a day early and had to negotiate with the staff to get even a small reimbursement.

They were very poor at communicating with us. Messages that didn’t suit them seemed to get filtered out, and when they replied, the tone was often rude and dismissive. If this is how they handled simple, friendly messages from us, I can only imagine how they’d act during a sensitive event when you really need someone attentive, responsive, and helpful. Based on this experience, I’d strongly advise people to think twice before booking.

We had a really good stay at Agriturismo Renello. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and Andrea was always accommodating and fun to chat with.

Our family loved the cooking class with Laura, and we also enjoyed a wine tasting with the amazing Andrea. The kids had a great time in the pool and making friends with the animals. We stayed in a comfortable, clean cottage, and the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The staff were friendly, communication before our stay was great, and the spot is peaceful with lovely views. If you want a quiet Tuscan farmhouse with good food and beautiful scenery, this is a wonderful choice. You’ll need your own car in this area.

The staff were so friendly, helpful, and personable, and we loved the Tuscany setting at Agriturismo Renello. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and had an incredible stay. We enjoyed several dinners there, all exquisite, and doing an olive oil tasting with Giacomo himself was a memorable experience. The location, surroundings, and accommodations were all amazing. We highly recommend it and hope to return someday!
