The pasta class at Cretaiole was the highlight of our Italy activities. We made pici with Isabella’s ragu and house wine, and loved sharing the experience with her family and the other guests. Thanks to Rick Steves for featuring this agriturismo and its pasta making in his videos! We also enjoyed the activities with Marta, especially the brunello wine tour and tasting at NostraVita in Montalcino. The upstairs one-bedroom villa, Stelle Fisse, had thoughtful details in every corner. Isabella, a real Tuscan tourism expert, met us in Castelmuzio, showed us to the villa, and made sure we felt at home. The welcome basket was full of fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese, and more, enough for us to make our first-night salad and pasta. The family farm tour in Pienza was well worth it too. Carlotta was a knowledgeable guide and translated the extra details Carlo shared about farming methods. My wife and I first visited Italy for our 17th anniversary, traveling from Rome through Castelmuzio, Lucca, Parma, and Venice before ending in Milan. Casa Moricciani was the best accommodation of our trip. It was everything we hoped for and more. We can’t wait to return with family and perhaps stay in the bigger villa downstairs. fino alla prossima volta! (I hope I said "until next time") 😁 - Erik
