This was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend it. The village is tiny and rural, with apple orchards around it and little nearby beyond a small grocery store. It isn't somewhere you can walk from to trails or other destinations, so you'll need a car or public transport. Tractors went past morning and evening, hauling apples, so I wouldn't suggest it if you're after quiet. There have also been bear sightings in the valley, as the owner confirmed; an older man in the village told us the bears come down in the evening to eat apples in the orchards. The place accepts pets, but there wasn't really space for them. The garden shown in the photos either isn't there anymore or doesn't match what the pictures led us to expect. You get to it by the parking area, up some steps made of logs that were a bit run-down. The restaurant seemed to have been closed for some time, judging by its condition, so the appealing photos of local dishes weren't something we could actually enjoy. We had booked and paid for seven nights a few days beforehand, but health reasons meant we left after one night. We politely asked about a refund and weren't expecting all of it, perhaps just the deposit. We didn't even get a third of what we'd paid. The lady kept the full payment for all seven nights, which left us feeling the hospitality and fairness weren't there.
