The shaded pool was a lovely break during my six-day solo walk through the Umbrian hills, and the quiet, with only a few other guests, made this my favorite stay. Maria showed me the old olive presses her ancestors used, and still keeps, so I could see how oil was made in the past. Her family has worked this land for generations, producing olive oil. The farm buildings, more than 1,000 years old, have been turned into comfortable, tasteful rooms. WOW!!! Thank you, thank you.

This was our nicest host so far on the St Francis walk. Maria was warm, welcoming, and spoke very good English. She even drove us to Trevi for dinner at a good restaurant she recommended. Everything was very clean and we had what we needed. Breakfast was generous, with fresh bread she’d made and several cakes. Maria and her family were absolutely charming.

The views from every room at I Mandorli are stunning, and it feels like good value. It’s tucked into the foothills, not too far from the sea. A few things could be better: there’s no locker room or laundry service, and the bedsprings might get you up early. Breakfast finishes at 09.00, though getting an early start is probably a good idea anyway.

We stopped here for a night while hiking in Umbria. A sweet little agriturismo, with clean rooms, a really friendly and helpful staff, and a great breakfast made mostly from homemade things. There were a few mosquitoes, but nothing too bad.

A few former farmhouses have been turned into small, clean guest apartments at this little agri turismo, about a 10 minute drive outside Trevi. There’s a pool and a green spot to relax, too. Breakfast was good and had enough vegan choices. The owner was friendly, and it’s a nice place to spend a few days.
