We arrived on August 15th and found a pool party underway, with a DJ, loud house music, and speakers practically plugged into our apartment. Some might say that’s fine, but guests paying to stay there, possibly to relax, should be told in advance. Their Facebook profile even mentioned the party and seemed proud of having 150 people. Guests should also be told that the music is usually played at full volume and that people can come in just to use the pool for the day. We asked Mr. Giuseppe, the owner, if the same music would play the next day. He said no, but the following day there was loud music again, without a DJ, and outside visitors were using the pool. That night, the owner and his friends laughed and giggled right outside our window until around 2:30 AM, apparently unaware we were there. The next morning, beer bottles were scattered on the tables around the pool. There were garbage cans right outside our bedroom windows, which we never actually opened. The towels in the bathroom were dirty, USED, folded, and still damp. When we mentioned it, the owner said, “It's not my fault.” He said he’d replace them, but they hadn’t arrived. We raised it again the next day and were told, “It was mid-August.” The toilet roll was nearly finished when we arrived, so we asked for more. We got 1 roll for 4 nights. When that ran out, we were told there wasn’t any and it would have to arrive too. It never did. For €375 for 4 nights in an apartment with no cleaning or breakfast, clean towels and toilet paper should be the least they provide. I’m writing all this because I hope nobody else ends up in the same situation. I travel to Umbria often, where plenty of people work with love and respect. Those who don’t, and don’t want to, shouldn’t keep doing this at the customer’s expense.

This is just about the rooms. We were careful not to try the restaurant. I strongly advise against staying here: cleanliness, amenities, and service for guests were far below the minimum standards. I’ll say nothing about the property manager’s unspeakable way of dealing with people. An experience I’d rather forget.

The farmhouse has a picturesque view of the village and makes a good base for visiting the lovely surrounding towns, out in the countryside around Trevi. But upkeep was completely inadequate. Both the pool and our apartment were dirty. From Friday through Sunday, there were parties with loud music until 2 a.m., and nobody had told us about them. The noise made sleeping difficult, and the garden and pool, as common areas, were much less accessible.

We felt so pampered here, and were sorry to leave such a peaceful haven. Giuseppe welcomed us warmly, then Simona showed us to our rooms and invited us for a swim. We had a lovely aperitif in the garden before dinner, including amazing fried vegetables. The grill was excellent, with the Trevi Fountain at night in the background and lovely music from Giuseppe. The pool was lovely, and there are romantic corners all around the garden. Breakfast under the loggia was excellent, with homemade cakes, tasty cured meats, and a buffet of sweet and savory treats made by Simona. The prices were fair. Thanks, Beppe and Simo. We’ll definitely be back, it’s a must try!

The tranquil setting is special and well organized, but the management has several issues that need a closer look. Our room was dirty and almost abandoned, and the restaurant was a negative point. Prices seemed to be set by instinct and not even recorded, so depending on the day you could get an unpleasant surprise. The room rental was the only price we could count on. The food was nothing exceptional, yet you risk getting a rigorous combing for it, which felt unjustified. The wine was unattainable. Knowing it can be found for 10 euros around there, it cost three times as much here, and already...
