Trevi Hotel

Trevi is a lovely little town, and the hotel's location there is its best feature. The terrace was pleasant, and the rooms were spacious, though dimly lit because their windows faced an interior corridor instead of outside. It would've been nice to have breakfast served on the terrace. The lobby TV was on all the time. The hotel itself was decent.

The room was adequate and good value for what we paid, and the younger woman at evening reception was pleasant and helpful. Still, I won't return, and I can't recommend this place to anyone who doesn't speak the language or is driving. I don't speak Italiano, and some of the trouble was on my side. I had prepaid for one night months ahead, but got conflicting emails about parking, which ended up being on the street. Then I was sent a form with 20 fields. After filling it in, I reached a dead link and couldn't submit it, so the effort was wasted. When I called during the day, the person who answered hung up in under 10 seconds because I didn't speak Italiano. That's not been typical of my experience in Italy, where someone usually helps or we communicate by text and translate it.

We had a lovely night here in November and hope to return. The valley views are beautiful, the hospitality is amazing, and the location is fabulous. The hotel was clean and comfortable inside, even with cold winds outdoors, and the room amenities were very nice. The mattress is the one small thing I'd change. It's quite firm, though people who like firm beds would be happy with it. We definitely recommend the hotel.

The service from the two people looking after us was great, and the property sits in a beautiful part of Italy. It's a historic building, so the traditional rooms suit its character. The big TV in the room didn't really add anything, though.
