The site is clean and well looked after, and the host was lovely. It’s a nice little campsite beside the lake, with its own beach area. The pitches are pretty narrow, though, and cars can only get in or out during certain time slots. I slept in my car and also wanted to use it to get around the area, which became a mess because I had to plan around the gate hours.

There’s a lovely beach just across the street, with a Bar only a minute away, and plenty of trees for shade. The owners and staff are friendly, and the place itself is very nice. It seems lots of people from Rome keep their caravans here all year. I’d love to do that too! :-)

Camping Smeraldo has what you need, including a small bar/restaurant, and the camping spots are tucked among the trees with lots of shade. It worked perfectly for the start of our campervan trip after flying into Rome and picking up a rental from @roadsurfer, only 45 min drive from the rental location. It’d also be handy for the last day before flying out, since you can do laundry and clean the campervan before returning it. ♥️♥️♥️

We had a fantastic time with friends at the BBQ area, and the private beach in front of the lake has a great view. The place has all the facilities for camping, and staying in a bungalow would be a great idea too. Muito obrigado to Alberto and Manuela family's for having us. I can't wait to come back.

The staff were nice, and it’s a very nice spot for camping. I did find it a little expensive: I paid 21 euros for a place for a small tent and a bike.
