Venice Treviso Airport Bed

We missed our flight after getting so caught up in the hotel's charm, and ended up deciding to spend two weeks at the resort instead of taking our 5* Caribbean cruise. The service was immaculate, 10/10, highly recommend. From the start, a distinguished Indian gentleman met us at the hotel bar, took our bags, and showed us to the room. There was champagne and caviar on ice waiting for us. The room had a king size bed and a 100 inch flat screen TV showing live football on Sky Sports. Chelsea won, unfortunately, but a complimentary Thai massage with a happy ending soon distracted me. At the bar, we had Courvoisier on the rocks and lobster at our disposal. We later visited the spa's steam room and sauna, then took a 2 minute walk to the airport.

We had a disappointing one night stay and I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel. The room was extremely hot, with no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan that didn't make us comfortable. We struggled to sleep. The sheets were dirty and seemed as though previous guests had used them without them being cleaned. The hotel looked poorly maintained, and there was no receptionist on site. A guy at the entrance checked our booking against a handwritten list of names on his phone, which felt unprofessional. The room key was generic and opened several rooms, leaving me feeling unsafe. The shower drained slowly, so we stood in water while using it, and the entrance door stayed open all night, meaning anyone could enter the hotel and might be able to get into rooms with a regular key. We also paid a €12 tourist fee in cash, which seemed unreasonable given the poor standards, and got no receipt.

The room was handy for a night before travelling the next day, and I thought it was reasonably good value. That's about it, though. It could've been cleaner.

The bedbugs and their bites, including on the body and face, were deeply unpleasant, and cleaning luggage, clothes, and the home after getting back can take weeks. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The rooms didn't look like the website photos, and the beds, sheets, and general cleanliness were unacceptable, with things dirty, torn, and poorly maintained. It seemed management and reception staff didn't care about the hotel's condition or guest concerns.
