Addicted To Paradise

Elena was such a friendly, accommodating host. We had a lovely few days at Addicted to Paradise, close to transport and an easy short walk from the town center. Our charming room was spotless, with a spacious bathroom, and gowns and slippers were provided. Breakfast was plentiful, beautifully presented, and yummy. Highly recommend.

The room was smaller than I’d pictured, but still a really nice place to spend the night. It felt cozy, and the owner was lovely. We slept in and missed breakfast, so they gave us brioche to take along.

The WhatsApp message I received after leaving my rating felt completely inappropriate. The owner of B&B Addicted to Paradise in Trieste told me that giving a rating of 3 meant I was a bad person, and wrote that she worked alone every day to run the B&B well and that her feedback proved it. I have a right to my opinion, which was based on my experience there. On arrival, we were already being told off because we hadn’t registered the bike. The homepage hadn’t made it clear that bikes weren’t wanted, and the prohibition signs all over the apartment didn’t make the place feel welcoming either. When we also chose not to have the included, and therefore paid-for, breakfast, that seemed to be the last straw. The property itself fell short of what I expected. On our return trip we stayed somewhere else, also on the third floor with no elevator, and everything there was perfect. If you’re coming to Trieste by bike, I’d avoid B&B Addicted to Paradise. Elena made us feel at home, with her warm manner and care for all the little details. The B&B has unusual, romantic decor, and we had a wonderful stay.
